For some time I've been entertaining the admittedly naive notion that while the absurd number of KCs -- and 'clients' -- active over Iraq every night the last days and weeks, do not appear to impress the Turkish drones, incurring into Iraq air space to kill Kurds, very much the RAF's Sentinel appeared to be a repellent : every time it appeared there wasn't a Turkish drone in sight.Well if anything was shot down over Iraq tonight it was this notion. Not only was the Sentinel there -- sometimes they could see Turkey's star/killer drone just by looking out of their windows -- there was also an American E-3B Sentry near by. None of them including the absurd amount of KCs moving in and out during that time appeared to have any effect on the drone that was active for a very long time deep into Iraq air space. They all very much ignored each other and minded their own business although it's obviously impossible that the US and the RAF were not aware of the lethal drone's presence.
This leads us to sad conclusion that Turkey and Iraq apparently came to some understanding regarding incursions by Turkish drones in North Iraq and that the 'Allies' -- US and UK -- are unconcerned with the fate of the Kurdish population in the North of Iraq. They will ignore manifestly illegal strikes at the Kurdish population by Turkey because they do not figure on their respective agendas or rules of engagement. They're there as the sledgehammer to crack the "ISIS" walnut, surely little more than peanuts by now, trying to impress "inhumane" Iran while ignoring the war crimes being committed on their erstwhile allies the Kurds. Sickening.
